McMaster-Carr Epoxy Floor Coating

Anyone used their Epoxy coatings? I'd imagine it to be a good, tough product if it comes from McMaster, rather pricey though...

Concrete Floor Coatings
These stain-resistant, high-gloss finishes not only look good, but also protect your floors from moisture, chemicals, foot traffic, hand carts, and forklifts (unless noted). Application temp. is 60° to 100° F, unless noted. For indoor and outdoor use, unless noted. VOC compliant in all 50 states, unless noted. Please specify color: clear (unless noted), gray, or red. Note: For best results, repair cracks and holes prior to application.
Ready-to-Use Acrylic— This low-odor, water-based coating requires no mixing and is for use in pedestrian-traffic areas. Apply with a brush or roller. It's ready for foot traffic in 8 hours; fully hardened in 18 hours. Note: Not VOC compliant in all areas. VOC content is 150 grams/liter.
Water-Based Epoxy— This low-odor, two-part epoxy is more durable than our Ready-to-Use Acrylic coating above. Apply with a brush, roller, or sprayer. Application time, after mixing, is 6 to 8 hours. It's ready for foot traffic in 16 hours; fully hardened in 72 hours. For indoor use only. Note: Not VOC compliant in all areas. VOC content is 250 grams/liter.
Heavy Duty Epoxy— Even more durable than our Water-Based Epoxy, this two-part epoxy goes on thick and contains no solvents. Apply with a brush, roller, or sprayer. Application time, after mixing, is 20 to 30 minutes. It's ready for foot traffic in 24 hours; fully hardened in 72 to 96 hours.
High-Performance Polyurea— Our best coating succeeds where others have failed. It's a two-part coating that offers fast dry times; excellent heat, chemical, abrasion, and UV resistance; and low hardening temps. Apply with a roller, sprayer, or squeegee. Application temp. is -20° to +100° F. Application time, after mixing, is 1 hour. It's ready for foot traffic in 6 hours; fully hardened in 48 hours.

Not familiar with their products, but I may read up on them, I figure anyone who's been able to defeat the laws of mathematics must be worth researching further.

The heavy epoxy is .75 gallons, and coats an average of 190 ft2 to a depth of 10 mils. One gallon of any liquid, chocolate milk, gasoline, orange juice, epoxy, whatever, will cover exactly 1,604 square feet to a depth of 1 mil. So 0.75 gallons will coat, at most, 120.3 square feet at a wet depth of 10 mils. But they manage to coat 190 ft2. Neat trick

what do you expect from McMaster Carr, they are a distributer, they are probably buying from National Polymers and selling under their label

McMaster Carr is a distributer so there is to much mark up, go to your local "commercial" paint store, the store that sells to the contractors ! or have their local outside sales rep that deals with painting contractors and tell them about your project.

A thin penerating primer such as a water based or solvent based epoxy, followed with a 100% solid UV resistant epoxy applied at 10 to 16 mils and finished coated with a polyspartic or 2 part urethane is a great system for a garage floor.

How is it that a "relabeler" like McMaster can sell like products at the same cost that a "manufacturer" like Wolverine? Their prices seem on par.

BTW, if it is NPI, its a good company with great products. Some better than others but that goes for every manufacturer.

Prices don't look equal to me. Their "heavy duty" epoxy (not making any claims that the products are equal other than the description/name) is $103.94/gallon, I sell Wolverine's LiquaTile for $75/gallon.

Also, to be precise, Wolverine just doesn't sell direct to the public, that's my job.
