Anyone know what manufacturer they are using for the wobble extension sets? I know M-C sells good stuff but I hate buying something without knowing exactly what I'm getting.

I'm looking at PN 5521A73 (1/4" 3-piece set - $29) and PN 5522A54 (3/8" 3-piece set - $31).

I called and they couldn't tell me. Those seem like good prices if we're talking Armstrong or similar. For comparison, Amazon's got 4-piece Gearwrench sets for $21 (1/4") and $33 (3/8") with free shipping.

Anyone ordered these?

I haven't ordered the set you are inquiring about, but, McMaster will tell you the COO of their tools.

Most of their ratchets, ratchet accessories and wrenches are Armstrong.

Most likely Armstrong or Proto, but they also carry some Martin, and Wright.

Advance Auto sells the 4-piece Gearwrench 3/8" drive wobble extension set for $20. The tips have flats after the wobble section so the socket can be pushed on further and won't wobble. Same set as Amazon's, for 2/3 the price. Taiwan-made.

MMC does not sell specific brands. Just quality levels that meet the specs in their catalog. It will something good, but they make no commitments. You could order 5 and get a few different brands in the same shipment.
