1 year old big maxx 45k. Only starts up sometimes. 2 flash on the board. Tech service says the board is bad, replaced today and still the same issue. When it fails to start the burnets sound weak. You can tell when it will start because of the strong burner sound. Thoughts? Thanks for any help

Did you Google search for

2 flash code on big max heater?

Tons of posts all over the internet, with trouble shooting and fixes

check if flame sensor is clean and connections are tight

clean ignitor

Flame roll out at the too burner, causing the sensor to pop?

Do you have the manual? Fault codes are in the manual. The manual i looked at 2 flashes system locked out failure to detect flame which could be dirty flame sensor to dirty burners or ignighter. Have to watch burner see whats happening.

If you have an air compressor, take the side off and blow the burners and surrounding area. I've done that every year before using since at year 2 of ownership I experienced what you described and when it did start the flame was more yellow than blue so I blew the burners out and cleaned everything, worked fine ever since.

Figured it out. I had cleaned the flame sensor with no luck already, tried again this time sanding with 320 and it fixed it. Thanks for the help

Good job. Got a buddy in HVAC that says most calls he gets are dirty flame sensors, a 5 min fix.
