Measuring tools: sometimes it nice to be a good neighbor

Neighbor who retired about 6 years ago was a supervisor of a QC staff where the company produced Aerospace equipment of some type. He was quite about the details, but they were located someplace near Silicone Valley. He moved here to Brookings Oregon after retiring. I help him quite often.
Here are 2 photos of some of the things he dropped off. I do know Starrett is a good name and most of the Micrometers are Starrett.
There is overlap in the pictures since 1 photo wouldn't get everything.

Good score for sure.
Guess he wanted to unload the stolen goods and didn't give details.

LOL
Don't think so his name is etched into all of the Micrometers

Nice. Some of those specialty micrometers are worth a pretty penny to the right guy. They're very expensive new and don't pop used often. I see at least two multi-anvil mics and and an ID mic, look to be Mitutoyo by the cases. The depth mic is handy to have, as are the *********** mics.

The regular mics are staples, as are the calipers, telescoping gages, adjustable parallels and the indicators. Everyone who does machine work should have those in their box.

The dividers and manual spring calipers aren't used much anymore, but if you do any reverse engineering, sheet metal work or wood lathe work they can be handy.

Now that's a great neighbor. Meanwhile Starrett is very good stuff, as is Brown & Sharp.

You obviously didn't read the OPs first post.
Actually did, but read quite as QUIET about the details. And being quiet about the details I made the joke of them being from his old job...

Yes; I think his company did Military aerospace work and couldn't divulge much more let alone the Company name, so I knew better than to ask. Also got a box full of measuring blocks and other stainless pieces. Still have another plastic tub to look thru. Movin/on
