My local Ace is going all in on Dewalt hand tools now. They pulled all the Tekton, compressed the CM tools and put in Dewalt. I’m hoping the Tekton stuff they pulled to make room shows up in their clearance section soon.

i started out in the mechanic world years ago with Dewalt sockets and ratchets and Husky combination wrenches. Years later i still have the Dewalt set as backup (upgraded ratchets and sockets mostly to Mac, SO, and SK throughout the years), but i do not have the Husky wrenches. they were garbage. Box ends weren't centered, open jaw had too much meat to fit anywhere, and the finish faded within a year. i do not recommend Husky wrenches unless you're a DIY and they'll spend most of their life being unused. all my Dewalt set still works and looks fine.
If your Husky wrenches were the old USA-made ones, they were as bad as the last of the USA Craftsman (same manufacturer, same plant).
I have them and the newer "Lobster" Chinese Husky wrenches.
Lobster or no, the China Huskys are a LOT better in appearance, machining, etc.
Dewalts are nice, but still Stanley at heart...

Dewalt for air and power definitely. I have some Husky sockets/extensions and wrenches, really like the quality.

I was in a sears store yesterday and they had markdowns way beyond 50% on mechanic tool sets...I think the $700ish set was $150 and same as their web saying "online only".The tool dept looked like they were emptying the store but they don't have this store on the closing list yet...Merritt Island, Fl. It might be worth checking it out before buying Husky or Dewalt at $150.
