welcome to the journal

Are you in the automotive trade now?

all of the manufacturers offer web based and hands on training that you should be able to attend through your dealership if you work in a dealership that is.

Independent shops can get training through third party providers such as Napa or Carquest.

There are several you tube videos that will give you an idea.

lastly there's the equipment needed, a lap top based scan tool, your J2534 pass through device, or VCM, a vehicle power supply, and a subscription to the manufacturers service information. Drew technologies also is an aftermarket supplier.

You can watch all of the videos in the world but, there's no substitute for experience. my experience is mostly with GM, Ford, & Chrysler. Some brands can be more difficult than others. Good luck in you quest for skills:beer:
