I'm an aircraft mechanic, and I spend plenty of time working under the aircraft, reaching overhead.
Creeper seats are needed, but most tend to be tippy if you hit a crack or junk on the floor.
I was looking at an old office chair, waiting to go in the dumpster, and also had a broken seat from HF that was about to go in my scrap metal pile.

A brainstorm happened, and I really like how it turned out.

Office chair bases are great compared to the 4 cheap wheels that come with most seats.
I used an office chair base and an old steel tractor/impliment seat for one of my shop stools. I find myself using it more than the padded Craftsman seat I also have. Surprisingly comfortable!!!

I have one of those short rolling ones like you see in a doctor's office... Don't remember where it came from but I use it a ton!

Here's one I did a while back. Made my own tool cart from a office chair base and scrap pallet wood. And it's height adjustable!!!

I recently picked up one of those round doctors office chairs. Sturdy, but it has those dual/split plastic wheels & I'm concerned how they'll survive in a shop environment.
Hoping there's a urethane creeper wheel that is a drop-in replacement
