We are considering installing an epoxy floor in our European repair center. We were thinking of going with a white floor. Any one ever do this? Is it recommended? Should we use a different color? I want it to be very bright and very impressive.

Thanks
Dan

+1 on the light grey. It creates a nice reflective surface and is easier to maintain and apply without blemishes than white.

I like a tan color. Still easy to see little ball bearings, springs, screws etc that often blend in with the grays and grease in general.

Light grey it is then. Should I have them put in colored lines between the lifts or is this too much trouble? Should I have them put down some European car logos into the floor?

Thanks
Dan

I do know one shop that did white epoxy, about 4 years ago, and it still looks good. He had to get them to make it as a custome color, as white was not offered. I think a very light gray would look better, and still reflect a lot of light.

Light grey it is. Very excited. The shop is already very clean but I think this will really transform it to another level.

One of our DIY customers sent us a nice pic from his recent floor installation. Wanted to share and this post is relevant.

This is a tri-coat system top coated with pigmented aliphatic (will never Amber) urethane. Very heavy duty!!

I think stripes would be nice. Logos would be really cool too. I have done quite a few firehouses and they always stripe in for the trucks, doesn't seem like a big deal for the installer.

Legacy, that almost look like a few we have done. The last one we did was black with red accents. Big mistake. It is impossible to keep a black floor clean, even for a fire co.

I know. I put a super dark(metallic) floor in my own garage. Looks amazing but if you sneeze on it, it's dirty.

We did a custom job for a client who absolutely wanted a white floor in his shop about 4 yrs ago....I see him every now and then and he say the floor is great but i would imagine it to be a bit on the BRIGHT side.....maybe it help because his walls are a dark gray.....sorry no pics!

You can install any type of Stripe you like based on the your needs!

However the most common color is light /medium gray!

Here is a photo of a light gray shop!...

good luck
