Yep I have the craftsman version of this and it's great for outside work but for me to get under the car I have to hunch down and it's not comfy at all... lol

Welder,

I was looking at that one and the orther one by Torin.

The red one is $24 on amazon, your's is $50... I'm trying to justify the double price...lol They both look nice, though the black one looks beafier, it still has the same design.

What is the total height on yours? I keep getting conflicting measurements as far as how high it is off the ground...

Thanks,
-Nigel

I had that Torin one you posted. I work in a heavy duty truck/trailer shop and it didn't last. Maybe 5 months before the casters were too fucked, and that is with torqueing the nuts religously. Might work for home use, but if you are a pro I wouldn't recommend it.

On the other hand I bought this one a few months ago and it has been wicked

It seemed a little gimmicky at first with the drawers, but it is awesome. Still rolls amazing and comfortable enough to sit in all day. Little high, but that isn't a big deal as I just jack the equipment up higher now:p

***** about the torin seat! But saved me from spending money on ****!

How high is the Mac seat?

Seriously thinking about getting this and then making something like the toro seat above... seems decent enough.

Not having the measurements in front of my I would say the Mac is a good 4 inches higher.

That would be cool, I had thought of that, but after I priced out casters, and a seat, plus my time it just didn't make sense.

at work i use an old computer/desk chair.

the arms had broken off, and was tossed in the trash.

i pulled the back cushion, and use it for kneeling down on

removed the arms and back support, and now have a seat with i wide 4 legged base, that rolls easy, adjustable height, and is comfortable to sit on..

We had a bunch of those in the shipyard shop. Leaving the back on makes it great for lunchbreaks also.

Yeah, got my Hazet from Jens and really like it. Has an extra shelf too. You do pay a premium for the Hazet branding/color of course, but I sure like looking at it.
