Pretty cool but it looks so much bigger in the first pictures until the guy is sitting on it. Standing it looks like his mid thigh would come to the counter height. Is that right or were we all shorter in the '50's?

Man that thing is awesome, but the seller must be high to be asking for $4500. Sure its classic and super usable, but I find old heavy duty stuff all the time for next to nothing. Hell, I picked up a giant steel workbench / desk from the 40s/50s (about 250 lbs) for $20 just a couple weeks ago.

It looks like the work surface was meant to be used while sitting. Unfortunately, there is nowhere to pull a chair up to which would be rather uncomfortable. Although, sometimes it seems like people were shorter back then. My buddy has a 1960s Honda SuperHawk and I (5'10 145lbs) look like a giant sitting on it.

Either that guy is a giant, or that thing needs a bigger vise.

And if you manage to find a private benefactor thru this channel, let me know, as I have a few things I would like myself.

Yeah I thought 4500 was a bit high for it, but as always the cool factor outweighed my common sense LMAO..

I bet someone could build a wooden version of that for a grand and make it more useable at the same time.

Very cool indeed!! Price seems high though. I'm thinking $2k for a guy who is trying to make a period correct garage. I'd give a grand all day long for the coolness factor. If it had drawers like a tool box, his price would be fair.

Oh, never seen one before and the dude should have never put his pic sitting on it. Makes it look like a toy.
