HaHa, Back to Epic FAIL. After I ordered two pairs, and only got one - defective - pair instead, Mechanix quickly offered to send me out two new pairs of gloves. I got the box today, and yep - you guessed it. ONE DAMN PAIR OF GLOVES. So I'm back where I started, got charged for two, and they can't seem to count higher than one.

Mechanix seems to be behind on their credit card processing. I wasn't charged until about a week after I received my gloves

Well, just for the record, Mechanix got the third delivery to me today and finally everything's right. I guess all's well that ends well and I still got a great price, I'm just not impressed that it took them three tries to get one order right.

I generally agree, rocket. Thing is, while I guess I'd say I had a good, even great, experience, and I am happy to see they were attentive with the 'other' customers (members here) ...huge-important in my book... thing is... I now have two pair of gloves that "almost fit right"... meaning I cannot wear 'em.

I never buy gloves online, but I have been buying mech gloves for some years now, so I figured, what-the-hell, this deal is enticing, and they always fit right when i buy 'em at the auto store, so "no-brainer", right?

But I have two pair of gloves now that are ...1 pair is tight and the other slightly over sized. So what I got is "gifts" for someone else cause I really cannot wear them.

Don't think I will buy gloves online again. Just gotta have 'em fit "like a glove" or I won't put 'em on.

UPDATE (Jan 11, 2015):
I finally had some days working in the shop to try to break in those 'original touch' gloves that I said were slightly too small, and I gotta say that they have broken in a bit, and the fit is actually feeling fairly right to me for working. I mean, I ended up keeping them on -to an advantage- while handling a lot of tools, never feeling the need to take them off, so that's gotta say something.

The thing that's strange to me is the arch from the thumb to the index finger seems too small because when I open my hand up the material pulls away from the arch there (and tightens the fit); however, in use this actually provides an advantage for helping me keep my index finger fully fitted into its sleeve, and all in all I have good fingertip 'dexterity' (if you will) for handling tiny bits, string, rope, whatever.

The gloves fit very snug, and all the way down to the finger joints, and all in all allow me to work with 'em on continually - which is what I want. If I got a larger size those would actually not fit.

So I am changing my tune ...I am pretty happy with these gloves, and can say the sizing is actually fairly accurate.

========
As for the other gloves, I picked up some "fleece utility" gloves, mainly for driving comfort, and the size technically fits, but they just seem a little baggy. Perhaps that's intended to allow more air for keeping in heat, I don't know. I can tell you that if I bought a size smaller I know those wouldn't fit.

So I just wanted to redact my negative comments after having spent some time with these. Not a bad purchase for me at all.

Cheers,
HTH

Should mention... the mech gloves I bought online are styles of theirs that I never purchased before. I "assumed" they'd fit similarly.

My 2 pair of XL were definitely tighter than I expected or thought they should be when they arrived. But after using them for a couple of days at work, they broke in and stretched out a bit, and now fit perfectly. Wish I had bought a few more.

Thanks rocket. Yeah, I could/should do the exchange thing, but I think I am just gonna move on. Its more hassle than its worth to me on these particular purchases. I am in the process of tooling up and its tough/busy enough, if you know what I mean.

Cheers!

I got them on a friday and took them to work monday, well I was wearing them and using a benzotorch and my right index finger got caught in the crossfire. needless to say my finger on my brand new gloves has a large hole in my right index.....luckily they were cheap lol
