Media blast system sanity check

I'm lookin' to do some blastin'—mainly rusted steel parts that come off a car, but occasionally cleaning a carb or making an engine case look good. Finishes will either be Cerakote, powdercoat, rattle can, or just bare aluminum.

I have a 1990s Quincy QT5 and a Skat Blast cabinet with a #4 1/4" nozzle on the gun. The gun pulls media from below the cabinet, and there is a vacuum attachment for the chamber.

The compressor is in the corner of my garage, and the cabinet is out back through a normal house door about 15' away. To close the door, I need to disconnect from the compressor side. One day I'd like to add another circuit for releasing the locks on my lift and occasional air tool use, but it's not urgent. I'm a bit iffy on plumbing (and blasting in general), so I figured I'd run it by the experts here before dropping a couple hundred bucks.

This is what I'm planning:

Tank
tank -> 3/4" NPT ball valve -> 90° elbow -> PneumaticPlus SAU420-N06G filter/regulator -> 1/2" NPT reducer -> Milton G coupler

Hose
Milton G plug -> 25' Goodyear 1/2" rubber hose -> screwed into cabinet regulator

Cabinet
PneumaticPlus SAW4000M-N04BG filter/regulator -> 90° elbow -> 1/4" NPT reducer -> cabinet

Am I doing anything silly? Any clear optimizations?

I figure I'd start with some aluminum oxide and figure out what else to use for more delicate applications later.

Based on the replies, I can assume this setup is perfect or horrendous.

On the long runs you’ll loose flow with 1/2” hose. I suggest hard piping with 3/4” and do drops where you need them so that you just have a short section of hose. Also don’t mount your separator right at the tank, you’ll want it down the line some to give the air time to cool and let the moisture drop out. I use garnet in my cabinet as it gives a good finish and doesn’t embed in what your blasting.
