Any recommendations for a transfer punch set that won’t break the bank but won’t dull on the first strike?

If you remember that its a transfer punch and not center punch, even the cheap imports work well. I have an import set that has seen much use in 15 years and still good.

A few years ago I bought some larger US made transfer punches from either MSC or Enco, dont remember which. Some smaller ones I got individually from Zoro to replace the worn out ones from the typical cheap set (1/16 to 1/2") and they're as good as the ones from the set.

I've used some sizes a lot and if you use the transfer punch to mark center, then take a good center punch and make a better dent that way. Works 95% of the time IME. The exception is when drilling out broke off bolts then you about have to only use a transfer punch.
