I got lucky and got some BIG L&R sonics.

During my research I learned the chinese ones will have less inducers. Sometimes 1 or 2 off to one side of the pan, vs 6 or 8 throughout the pan. (Numbers linear to size of cleaner)

There's a video somewhere on Youtube of a couple dudes in a shop using a large Chinese one and you can see how it definitely cleans better to the right side, and not a whole lot going on on the left side.

Also, get one that has a drain. I had a Branson that you had to either turn upside down or scoop the goop out. Never again..

And I don't think a heater is "totally" necessary as the vibration heats up the water. My small L&R is unheated, but after 30 minutes the water is at least jacuzzi warm. My big L&R Quantrex 650 is heated, which is better, but they both kick ***.

I've had good luck using a repurposed hornady ultrasonic cleaner, maybe too small for what you are talking about, but it's about a 20+" x 5" tub. I actually do like the heater function though, get that water up to about 140 and drop your part in. It also has a function to de-gas the solution and water you are using.. call it pseudo-science or what, but allegedly if you can get the air bubbles out of the water ahead of time, the cleaning agent can basically vibrate/boil against your parts instead of losing it into air bubbles.
