I wanted to share a number of racks that I made because I have tons of wheels and hanging them saved a lot more space.
A few days ago I welded one up with left of pipe from other projects. Here you see I was trying to test fit a wheel.
The end result. Welding brackets and painted it a hammered color and mount some 15 inch wheels. It could a 14inch all the way up to 16 with no issues. It can hold bout 6 wheels.
I wanted to try a different tire rack and I still have many tires to get off the ground so I decided to use 2x4x8. I have left over pipe and used it to adjust sizing of wheels. It can actually just fit a rim with no tire with the pipe installed and snug fit for 16 inch wheels. I used 2 ft chain on both sides at 50 cents per ft. It costed under $15 to build and hold 10 wheels. Sorry that I only have half of the picture for now.
This here is one of my first racks that I built and still use. It hold just the rims for when I prep for powdercoating. The wheels you see there are recently powdercoated white with gloss clear over it
I have another similar version that hold rims with tire mounted and they are both 5 ft long so they can hold 7 to 8 wheels

Here are a few added pictures of the wooden tire rack
