Meijer is putting some of their tekton tools onclearance 75% off. 3/8 socket rail is 1.99 and flex ratcheting wrench set is 17.99 amd couple other items like 1/4 deep socket set is 2 something.
Two locations nearby, not much aside from what you mentioned. The socket rails are made by Advanced Plastics, same as the Ernst organizers with twist lock.
I went to check these out. The Champaign IL store is well stocked but inventory is mixed up. There are very different qualities mixed up. The sockets that end in 041 and 141 look like Gearwrench and ring up at $10.49. The ones that ring up $2.49 look like the generic Taiwan stuff you find in cheaper sets. There are also the same mixing with the wrenches. My guess is the better quality stuff is the new stuff and isn't supposed to be out until the other is gone. Make sure you know what your buying before you get to the register and get surprised. The 7pc wrench is being replaced with a 9 piece that rings up @ $50.
While you're there a lot of the pharmaceutical dept is buy 1 get one 50% off. I stocked up on allergy meds.
