I don't know how many of you have a Meijer close but they are clearancing a lot of automotive related stuff. I just paid .84c each for Purolator oil filters. They also have several headlights, air filters, tie down straps, bodywork supplies and oil on 50-90% off. Some of the oil includes Quicksilver and Mobil One. I was only in Champaign and Urbana IL. The GL of Bondo were $5.74.

Kind of a Midwest thing. I bet you feel the same way about Menard's deals. Every once in a while they clearance tools too. I keep waiting for the Channellocks to go on 75% off. I feel the same way about Costco,Sears, Kmart and Princess threads.

Barely touched it. Check out the clothes while you are there. I picked up 3 shirts marked down from $27 to $5. They also had Tekton combo wrench sets 50% off. If you have any little ones the Urbana one had Illini shirts for $5.
My brother moved away last year and that is his #1 compliant.
Champaign is pretty picked over aside from the filters. Urbana wasn't as of last night.

I should have posted something similar to this last week. I cleared out the Frankfort, IL location of all the filters that fit my 2500HD Silverado -- for less than 1.00 ea.
Auto Touch up paint color bottles were down to 75% off as well. I didn't see any body work/bondo at my location. i will have to check again.

One or two aisles over, in the Tools section, they had Tekton fiberglass-handled ball peen hammers on clearance for $2.99. Of course there were none left. And I didn't see anything else on clearance.

Fred Meijer lived a few blocks from where I grew up. My Mom worked for him back in the early 50's at his first "real" grocery store - he was Mr. Meijer, but his store was Meijer's.
Every time he's see me in the store, he'd reach into his pocket and give me a penny to ride Sandy. Later on when he built his first Thrifty Acres, he'd flip me a card for a free ice cream cone at the Purple Cow.

Meijer was one of the best things about the Midwest. Now that I can't shop at one I see how good it really was.

That's a neat story Bluedodge. Thanks for sharing. I'm going to have to check the clearance stuff over at Meijer this week and see what they have. I used to shop there alot, but before we had a giant Walmart and now Menards where I live now. Better produce at Meijers than Walmart where I am by far. - Paul

I gotta stop at my Meijers, I always get my grub there and sometimes wander over into the seasonal and auto section, they always have stuff on clearance.
