Anyone know the quality of that Mighty Mini ladder on page 2? I use the 17' Werner version for work, but it is usually more than I need, and heavier. I wouldn't mind a lighter version to carry around.

Didn't seem that exciting to me either.

Is any Masterforce stuff made in the U.S. anymore ?

A couple decent clothing deals on pg 14.

Masterforce screwdrivers, ratchets, sockets, and wrenches are all made in the USA. I think a few other oddball things under that brand are as well, but most are imports.

They are mostly like Lowes/HD but have a bunch of other **** as well, including a grocery section.

Their Black Friday sale usually consists of things they don't normally stock, for really good prices. I made the mistake of going one year - it was a zoo!

Has Menards introduced some new Masterforce tool boxes (chests & cabinets)? I see some that are available in gun metal and they are priced higher than other Masterforce models in the same size. I also notice some of the older model items are now designated as "Clearance".

Looks like the top of the chests might be redesigned. Otherwise, it's hard to see much difference based upon the pics and I haven't studied the descriptions.

I've been hoping I could get a good price on a 56" cabinet to match the chest I bought the last time they redesigned their boxes, but the 56" model isn't currently designated as a clearance item and I don't see a replacement model in that size on their site.

The Menards by me has a few new style Master Force chests and cabinets on display. They're a greenish grey color, green drawer pulls, 24" deep. Seem to be a heavier grade steel than the drab green units. Upper chests have 110v charging stations in the top bulk area. Quality casters. They're pretty darn nice. Widest one on display at the Wyoming Menards was 42" (44"?) wide.
Pricing seemed similar to the green ones.

The screwdrivers are... the ratchets and sockets are no longer. There's a lot of USA stock yet, but due to the Apex plant issues they've been replacing missing items with GearWrench. The new sets are missing the "Made in USA" logos.

$4.99 ratchet straps are the only thing that interests me on the 6-hour sale. Otherwise the ZillaReel for $49 is a good deal, as is the 25' Flexzilla hose/accessories on rhe 2-day sale.

I'll be saving my BF shopping money for Cyber Monday Milwaukee stuff it appears.

I do a lot of shopping at Menards (too much) but I always seem to thing there Black Friday ads are a bunch of cheap junk. Seems like they are trying to cater to a different crowd than their usual customers.

Of course I haven't seen anything in the ads that I've seen that would make me want to get out in that mess Friday.

Good deal on the pliers sets, and the jumper cables... didn't find much interest in anything else and probably not worth my time waiting 2 hours... yawn

I have been to the 6 hour sale on Friday and it isnt fun. I do wonder how much a menards store does in total sales the day after thanksgiving. The one by me has 12 lanes and they are all busy all day long.

It's a big box hardware store, but it's not just like lowes or HD. They have different brands of stuff. Sometimes that's better, sometimes it's not. They have better a much better selection of plumbing fittings than HD does, and for the copper stuff, they're largely USA made Nibco stuff, rather than chinese stuff that HD sells (the lowes nearest to me is a sad, sad, sad place, with no inventory of anything, so I don't know what they should have.), for less. Around here, it's generally better lumber than HD, but not as good as a specialist.

They also have a somwhat strange selection of other stuff. Clothes, food, dog food, /...

Menards has always promoted Made in USA including regular sales where everything in the flyer is US made, stating by the product the city and state of manufacture. They also are the only place I have ever seen wilde punches, for a very fair price. In addition they offer the most generous return policy I have ever experienced. Consistently more than fair. A good, well run company, regardless of what you may think of the founder. I have done plenty of comparison shopping when doing larger projects and menards always wins overall.
