Does anyone have a Menard's box in red?

I really like the Griplatch system (although I forget what Menard's call it). All the boxes in the stores are always their special green, and they don't have any example panels in their other colors.

Reds can be all over, and some don't look as good as others (sorry HF fans). I'd be interested in any "looks like..." comments from any owners.

looks like a nice box... 100lbs capacity per drawer it looks like... certainly better than anything craftsman sells.

Jealous - and wish I was close to a Menards.....I just spent $ 903.00 for the 3rd of my 52" griplatchs version Craftsman - they are now on closeout and didn't want a odd non matching box.

This has that top drawer all the way across- great vs. 2 @ 26"
This is 20 inches deep - Craftsman is 18" deep

I'd buy that in a heartbeat if I were closer.

I've checked out the boxes in the stores many times. They seem pretty nice to me.

I gotta give Craftsman the edge on naming, though. "Griplatch" sounds a lot better than "Raise and Release™ drawer latching system"

I just picked the combo in blue about 2 weeks ago. It is an incredibly solid box and im loving it as an upgrade from my previous craftsmans. It was special order at my store and I had to order it online, ship to store and go pick it up to qualify for the 11% rebate. I would not hesitate to buy another. Now Im looking into trying to get a credit for the difference.

I have the blue one also these things are amazing. I roll mine around every day and the newer style has much better casters and pulls like a dream. The drawer latches are a nice upgrade from the old one but a little bit a drawer depth is lost (very minor). All in All A great value.

They're still working out for me.

Be insure to fully inspect them at the store for damage.

I had fork lift damage on one cab and got $100 off. Got $75 off a chest for damage. Had one cab I wouldn't accept because some drawers wouldn't latch and there was a dent from the inside out on one drawer face. It sure looked like factory damage they just sent on. They ordered another one and it come in a few days later.

I owned the 36'' version with the top box and i will say that it was a extremely nice box. Zero complaints about Masterforce boxes. I sold mine because i bought a used Snap-On KRL722 off the truck and didnt want to have the hassel of taking it home and putting it in to my workshop/shed. Im waiting on a Snap-On Epiq 68 atm but i would take another Masterforce in a heartbeat

Sweet, went in and they had no problem crediting my previous online order. saved me $97. The packaging that it came in was unlike anything I've ever unboxed. It came wrapped in a bag, the top and bottoms had handi-board cut out, wrapped in heavy duty cardboard, then with clear shrink wrap. Their online order tracking was pretty nice too. Since it came LTL they put all the carrier info on there, albeit a bit unnecessary, it was nice to see that. If buying bring a couple strong guys as it is extremely heavy. Me and my brother BARELY got it off the F-150, and we aren't small guys. At menards they forklifted it on the back of the truck no problem.

The first cab my Dad helped unload from the truck bed. lt wasn't bad. The next two cabs and chest I unloaded by myself. I took box apart and then took the drawers out. They come out real easy without tools. I dragged most of the body past the tail gate and lowered it on its side. I then put the wheels on it and then tipped it backup.

Would it be possible for you to measure the drawer thickness? I read in the archives that someone measured it as around .050, which is pretty substantial. I have my eye on these boxes and want to believe that is true.

Just measured all 4 drawer sizes (shallow, medium, deep and the full width) and they're all .050 thick.

Another note, the shallow, medium and deep drawers are multiples of each other in regards to drawer height. If you had extra slides (and holes punched in the box body), you could move drawers around to suit. I don't like the deep drawer in the chest. I haven't checked into extra slides yet.

That's the thing that's turned me off so far. Update us, please, if you find a away to move the deep drawer down in the stack or replace it with two shallow drawers.

I guess unwrapping it on the truck and removing the drawers would have been helpful, I thought of the idea but the truck we were using was being borrowed and needed to get back to its owner. ;P
