Yet another new Menards sale starting today. Some good deals. The Performax variable speed oscillating multi tool kit with lots of blades is only $19.99 after rebate. That is the lowest it has ever been and a good one. Other good deals too. Tell us what you are looking at getting for ideas. - Paul

Forgot to mention $1.50 Samual Adams Beer Glasses. Those look nice! Might complement my Killian's Irish Red ones I have now. (Ales ****, Lagers rule)! And free x-acto type led knife set also. - Paul

I will be picking up them for sure...at $4.99 they were pricey but when I can buy beer glasses w/Rebates .....Does life get any better?

Save big money with Menards....

I will be ordering a MasterForce 72' Tool Box in "blue" this weekend for $999, just hoping for another 11% off. :rocker:

I just got the 41" pair in blue when it was on sale last month and love the boxes themselves.

I ordered it online, with free ship to store, and they sent two full sets and charged my card for both, even though I just picked up one. For 10 days, I couldn't get anyone to respond to me via their online customer service process and there is really no phone number to call for help at Menards. They wouldn't refund it in the store as it was ordered online. Seriously, they just don't get it. I had to use Amex to dispute it to get my other $850 back. Make sure to double check your order!

Sorry to hear of that experience but good to post here for others to see. I suspect that some Menards people surely have picked up on this forum by now and perhaps read it sometimes. If so, they will get your message and can think about improving this. - Paul

That Montezuma box is now listed on their site if it wasn't before. I didn't see it the other day and checked the SKU.

Regular price $999.

Menard's online purchasing is a joke. I thought Sears was bad.

Menard's shouldn't charge online orders an extra fee. No one else does(Home depot, Lowes, etc)

Agreed on that point too. Should be free and also should be more convenient. Menards is missing out on the whole on-line side of the business, which is growing. I think brick and mortor is done pretty well by Menards, but on-line really is far behind either Lowes or HD.

Probably still better than Sears though! I ordered a couple things from Sears recently. Got one of the two items in the box they mailed me. The packing slip showed they marked off that they sent both items in the one box! I was on the phone about 25 minutes with Sears trying to convince them NOT to send out a tracking demand to UPS for the missing box as there WAS no missing box. Sears simply didn't send the items, but indicated they had! I'm still not convinced they credited my charge card properly for the missing item - have to verify. What a disaster! - Paul

Is the $20 625 Lumen Coast flashlight worth it? ($30 - $10 Menards rebate)

They had a better deal just at BF where a higher lumen one was $15. I don't know on this one but I think Coast is using the better Cree bulbs like the Defiants from Home Depot I like. Anyone got this yet?

So I checked out those Samual Adams beer glasses. There were two varieties in my store. Very nice for $1.50 each. - Paul

The idea of Menards is to get you I to the store and buy something you don't need at all but can't pass up. Belts and wallets 3 bucks the other day, I didn't need either but ended up with 4 belts and a wallet...

Yes, but the quality on those wasn't half bad for China and they were leather. Didn't have my size in a belt but I would have got one if they did. - Paul

I think people outside the Midwest don't quite understand what Menards is. They think it's a Lowe's or THD and really it's an old fashioned country general store that happens to be huge and have everything from Oak Crown Molding to a Dozen Eggs.

They carry eggs now too?!

:willy_nil

Yeah, hard to really describe Menards well to new people. It is kind of a Lowes or HD crossed with maybe a bit of Walmart and a touch of Harbor Freight. They don't have everything any of those have but have some of what each of those has. But more freebies after rebate or good deals at all quality levels regularly than any of them except maybe HF, but the freebies at Menards are usually much better than those from HF. And Menards has a better presence of US made items and philosophy of selling US made items at every opportunity than ANY of these others, which I like alot. They really get it. I wish the other stores did.

If Menards were smart, they would really improve their internet/mail business and sell to the whole US this way and compete better with the others then. This also would increase Menards exposure and improve ability to do well as they grow into new states and expand out of the midwest. - Paul

You hit the nail on the head....I love that I can pick up some lumber, screws and a gallon of milk all in the same place. And pay for it all with rebate money.

Hi, what do you mean? New ad? And why pick Marshall store? thx- Paul

An ad that was not out before.

It starts for the rest of us Sunday and usually comes out on Saturday.

For some reason, the Marshall store has released the ads that don't start until Sunday today.

Dang it, there is some good stuff on there. I might have to pick up that Masterforce router for $90, and maybe some more Akro-mills organizers.

I own a adult foster care home and you can't beat Menards for grocery items when they are on sale, especially if the 11% is in play. I buy their Malt-O-Meal cereal by the case. Paying a $1.78 - $1.98 per box is cheap especially when there is 50% more per box. Then throw in the fact the I use approximately 2 boxes per meal, you can't beat it.

Oh on the eggs, my youngest daughter works at an egg plant. She gets them for .50 per dozen. Sorry Menards hard to beat that............

Ishi, thanks for the schooling! Did not know this! :)

$499 Montezuma 72" 100 pound/drawer stainless steel cabinet with wood top looks sweet. I don't have room for such a thing, but for those who do, take a look at that. Also, Hansen socket organizer trays on sale again and anti rust pucks for box drawers too. LOTS of tools in this one.

Also to add to above.......... The Menards ads on tv usually tell what product is on sale and where it is made in the US.

I agree 100% on second bold.

You are a special person, my parents have had an AFC home for 30 years. The 4 women they have have been there since I was 4 years old. It takes special people to do that.

Thank you, I had 2 homes at one time (24 adults). We closed one home up once my kids all grew up. Still take care of 11 adults, some that were here when we bought both places. We have been doing it for 28 years.

Well all I got room for are the 26" size! If I had the room, I would look at the Montezuma as a workbench with drawers. Ishi started a thread on that, so folks can comment on it there. I don't know the quality of it. But can't be terrible for 100 pounds per drawer rating. - Paul

Paul, have you ever been accused of being Paul Menard?

I kid :p

Ha ha. Well, I am an equal opportunity dealfinder. I do post on any and other threads too. Sometimes the Lowes clearance deals. Sometimes HF. Sears. Whatever. I just like to find good deals and share them if they help someone else. Others have helped me in turn. Menards makes it kind of easy because it is my favorite store. I like alot of what they do. Having said that, I'm really annoyed that over BF someone stole my dealbuster $10 shopvac right out of my cart when it was parked for 2 minutes. Menards should do something about that for me ! I am semi-loyal most of the time!

Feel free here too guys to post any negatives you have found. Originally, I was thinking also to do reviews here good OR bad. I did a bad one once myself. Doesn't have to just be about the ads each week. Use it however we all want to. - Paul

My parents have always had family home, no more than 6 ever as the licensing is different for anything beyond that. They are both 70 now and still keep the 4. They are as much my sisters as my real brothers are my brothers. All in their 50s and 60s but eternal 3 year olds in mind.
