LOL! The non-extended 11% sale backfired! I've been planning to pick up some new handles for my kitchen cabinets as my current ones don't have any. These are normally $6 a piece and I just picked up 20 for $2.98 each without rebate! Not exactly what I was looking for as the ones I wanted were $10 each and forgot to pick them up last week during 11% but so close I'm not gonna complain for the price. And they seem very well built.

Looks like this week:

3/8 Crescent metric or sae hex bit sets for $9 each. If these are Taiwan, that might be pretty good for that price.

6 piece MasterForce screwdriver set made by Pratt Reed, USA for $10.

Toolbox lineers 2 for $8.

Free after rebate Loctite Go2 repair putty (might be worth a try).

Post what catches your eye too. - Paul

Was just up there, can confirm Crescent's were made in Taiwan. On a side note the Performax torx sets that are $5.99 everyday are also Taiwan, as it their bigger Perforax bit socket set.

My store was already out of the loctite, oh well.

BluBird 3/8 50' air hose (rubber) for 50% off = $14 http://www.menards.com/main/mobile/p-2430300.htm?cm_vc=PDPZ1

My store had several of these, very nice, very light. I don't really need since I already have a 25' flexzilla that I love, but I MAY end up buying one of these before the end of the week to replace my cheap 50'.

Anyone have an opinion on blubird vs flexzilla?

Late night run last night. Picked up an auto dim american flag welding mask for $35 normally $70. Got the American flag one of course cuz it's for my 9yr old...or his younger brothers. But they also have a kind of gawdy lion/skulls/flames one too.
https://www.menards.com/main/p-2415175.htm
http://www.menards.com/main/p-2415174.htm

Also picked up a Cannon Speedvault handgun safe. $129 normally $147. Looks like unique quick access safe...although I found that my Ruger GP100 .357 won't fit in it.

I got the last Speedvault and welding mask at my store.

I'm the developer of BluBird, so I don't know how effective my opinion will be but I've to do this :p

In a nutshell:
Same weight.
100% Rubber (Flexilla is hybrid) as say, Goodyear's hoses, just much lighter and stronger.
Much better in cold-weather. It'll be as flexible at -30 as Flexilla is at 0. It can remain genuinely usable at -50 (or even lower, haven't tested practically yet :)
4:1 Safety Factor - the burst pressure is 1200PSI unlike Flexilla's 900.
10 Year Warranty.
Cleans much more easily.
Similar price for all of the above?

I love the FlexZilla hoses I have... I have several garden hoses and air hoses. But this is my #1 complaint... they look like **** in no time and are IMPOSSIBLE to clean. If the BluBird is easier to clean (it's also much darker) it could be a winner.

I bought one when you guys started selling them via Menards, but haven't taken it out of its package yet.

Interesting info. Thanks. How about the hose reel? Anything special about it?

The best thing about the hose reel is the hose. Other than that, it's a well-built entry-level hose reel. It has a 12-point ratchet which allows much better length resolution (you can stop at many more lengths) than most other hose reels. And then again in the BluBird tradition, we test each hose reel before dispatching.

The price is there of course, especially at Menards.

However, to be fair and frank, I'd not compare the reel too hard with the $300+ reels, although the hose is still unmatched no matter what you spend. We are coming up with a new mid-range reel that'll be heavier for heavier use. For general purpose use, the current ones will do just good.

Weird Menards... have never seen those tags before, and somehow the tag doesn't even have a Menards SKU?

I took those 5 sand belts up there and they don't have anything on them to scan. I showed her the picture I have and she gave them all to me for $.25! I felt like I won a prize on a game show!

What do you guys think about this Cabinet it is half off this week down to $89. I was thinking about buying two of them to store my oil and antifreeze stock in. I have $90 dollars in rebates to use so i only have to spend $90 for both.

Looks like a discontinued item they are clearing out. My store has 33. I'll swing by and check them out as I'm in the need of a steel cabinet as well.

Yeah my hopes aren't too high on them. Heck if they can sell a Gladiator cabinet for $300 and they feel as cheap as they do, what does a $90 one feel like?

I just swung by Menards to grab a couple things and checked out the steel cabinet. Honestly they aren't too bad, but $90 is the absolute most I would pay for it. I like the leveling feet as I had a previous steel cabinet that had no feet and the bottom eventually rusted out from sitting directly on concrete and it never sat right since concrete floors are rarely level.

I didn't buy one since it isn't quite a necessity yet, but will keep an eye out for them and if they drop any lower will probably pick one up.

So are they good enough To hold a good load i will be filling these with oil, antifreeze and other shop supplies. I will be using cash for one and a rebate for the other so i will be at $90 cash for both.

Some 1/2" plywood cut to fit on the top of each shelf should strengthen them up for that much weight. But honestly, why so much coolant?

I stock up when i see a good sale and i am doing some coolant changes on my cars soon. I was going to buy some gladiator cabinets since had the 30in cabinets but when i saw this sale i thought these might be a better deal since i already have rebate money.

....Menards has Vision brand wiper blades on sale for $1. Bought about 50 of them for mine and friends vehicles.

Anyone know if this sale is still going on? I could use a new rear wiper and our Kia's are getting pretty bad as well.

EDIT: Just checked the site and it looks like it is.

Check stock, mine only had the 28 inchers left in stock a few days ago. You may be able to order them in store for later delivery to the store.

Sale for wipers is going on I believe still...

As far as the cabinet.. Its pretty good for that price. I have one. Seems flimsy until you get it all together then its pretty solid.. The doors are flimsy, but the rest is solid. I like it. Can't beat the price. Im going to screw some flat weld steel diagonally across the doors to sturdy them up.

I wish I had know about the hammer this morning. I was over at Menards and would have grabbed one as a spare. I seem to always be misplacing my Estwing hammer.
