Question... if I made an online purchase before the 11 percent, and I wanted to submit it for an 11 percent adjustment rebate, what do I mail in? I didn't get am actual receipt... do I mail in the paper they gave me at the store or the email o received when I bought It? Online it says I will have an attachment on the confirmation email... there is nothing attached except the items listed... is this what I print off? It's 700 bucks in stuff I would like to get this right lol

About four years ago- same situation. Verified when picking up with the store front end, that the receipt that I had printed from home was the correct one. Received no problem. Not sure if process is the same now.

I did get burnt this fall, with a lumberyard purchase that was delivered to me. Sent in my original 11% rebate receipt, but stupidly didn't make copies. The 11% rebate credit never came- probably out $150 in credit.

The retail term is slippage wrt rebates. Some customers don't bother to submit, some get rejected, and some are paid out but expires or get lost. Perhaps only 30% of eligible rebates actually get spent. I know some years back from working with a mail-in rebate center (some place out of Young America MN) that they had targets on what percentage of rebate submits to payout. E.g. Sloppy handwriting or using blue ink wouldn't get paid out, etc.. Hopefully things aren't as sketchy these days, but I wouldn't be surprised.

A few years back I was working with a guy who used to process Menard's rebates part time while going to school in EauClair? WI. He implied that the process was whimsical at best. Advised to make copies of anything submitted of significant value. Allegedly, they are fast and loose with rejecting initial submissions and do not notify that it was denied. If they ever got resubmitted copies stating that credit wasn't received, they would fast track the credit out to the customer, knowing they were probably in the wrong and not to further mess with someone who had bothered to keep records.

my question is, what exactly is my "receipt" for an online purchase? i obviously never got an original receipt like if i were to buy in the store, so what do i send in for the rebate? my original confirmation email? or what? this would be for the adjustment not the 11 percent.

per their site:
"For Online Purchases: Your rebate receipt is attached to your confirmation email as a PDF."

however, what i bought was not during an 11 rebate nor was it on a rebate, so i'd be attempting to get the 11 adjustment, i never got a PDF attachment. just the confirmation email showing what i bought, the card i paid with and the price.

I would go into the store and ask for a price adjustment. You usually have 14 days to do this. I just did this yesterday and was able to take advantage of a rebate that I started the day after I made my purchase. . Wasn’t an 11% rebate, it was a $30 back on an $80 item rebate. That’s where I would start anyway.

Hmmm...not sure what to say. When I did my adjustment, they printed a new receipt with the rebate portion on it.

Well after talking to 3 different people on the phone they told me to send in the confirmation email from my online order on the 20th. 4 people in the store and 3 on the phone later I have my answer. I suppose that's what it's coming to at our location... they keep hiring college kids, all 4 people in the store were people I've never seen before. Oh well, here's to hoping that works

I believe you need to pick these up in the store. Last time I tried there wasn’t an online version to fill out.

only available in store. Go to customer service and ask for the price adjustment rebate

You have to pick up your price adjust rebate slip during the 11% sale. You have a few weeks to mail it in though. Once the 11% sale is done they won't give you a price adjust slip.

I have 2 location about 25 minutes from my house...

But guess what? The council just approved the prelim plans for a new Menards to be built right next to the local Kroger.

sometimes they build a new store and close one of the other locations. Not saying that will happen in your case, but Menards does that a lot.

I think our old menards store has been empty for at least 10 years since they built the new one.

Same here, going on 15 years now.

Building a new one on the other side of town also now so that one will sit empty forever also I suppose.

I do like the remodel's all the stores are getting though. Basically moving the contractors/ building supply department to the back of the stores. Looks really nice!
Now they just need a register back there so if you got the wrong board outside you could just walk in the back door and exchange it, etc. Nope, still gotta walk all the way to the front of the store.:dunno:

Hope they move the cleaning supplies and clothing from that narrow front main aisle. What a pain in the *** it is to get through.

What do you guys think about that 3lb sledge hammer for $2.99 after rebate in this weeks ad?

Seems like an ok deal considering it's Masterforce. Made in China. Limit 2. Here's a link:

https://www.menards.com/main/tools-...dge-hammer/mf48dff/p-1444445689801-c-9143.htm
Have one, really like it. Good at what it does.

Handle takes a beating well, if you should miss or glance your target. Detects thumbs and fingers, equally as well.

But as always, if needed, don't force it, just get a bigger hammer.

The Masterforce hammers are pretty decent. The framing hammers that are $17.99 and go to like $2.99 or less after MIR I actually really like.

Picked up two sledges and two regular hammers.

Anyone else notice that for the past two weeks, there have been no Menards sale paper in the Sunday newspaper? I doubt they've been stolen out of the paper, since they are of no value. Maybe Menards is cutting back on expenses?

I am pretty sure my local paper had a Menards ad last week. I haven't brought today's paper in yet.

I usually look at the Menards ad online before I even bring in my Sunday paper.

Could be your paper carrier not "stuffing" his papers properly. Ever notice how you get doubles of some ads sometimes? That means another customer did not get theirs. IDK

I work for a newspaper. Most inserting is done by machines. On days when there are too many ads for the machines then people will hand insert ads at the plant. Generally the carriers don't have to insert ads.

The machines can screw up and double insert ads. My employer used to have huge issues with this before they got new machinery about a dozen years ago.

Anyone have one of these? Thoughts? Not for professional use, mainly just looking to use it instead of separate cabinets for a garage build. Thinking of getting 2 or 3 to go along a wall, and hang upper cabinets above. Already have a decent 52" combo for actual tool storage and use, this would be more for general storage/kids stuff/yard stuff/etc.
