That generator was $187 on Black Friday.

I couldn’t pass it up.

Should be able to run the well pump when the power goes out.

Only problem is that I ended up spending another $300 for materials to install a transfer switch panel and plug for the generator.......

Anyone have one of these? Thoughts? Not for professional use, mainly just looking to use it instead of separate cabinets for a garage build. Thinking of getting 2 or 3 to go along a wall, and hang upper cabinets above. Already have a decent 52" combo for actual tool storage and use, this would be more for general storage/kids stuff/yard stuff/etc.

Good question, I was wondering the exact same thing.

Maybe I'm thinking of a different week. Plenty of ads have stopped on Saturday regardless what they are with no 11 next, not saying anyone is wrong but I don't think that's a formula to guarantee an 11 rebate

Next week is 11% off since I have seen the ad. Personally I can't recall a week when the Saturday rule didn't prove true. You can also increase your tax refund by 5% by converting it to a credit check, although I have never done it and am unsure of the details.

It’s a bummer you can’t get the rebate on purchases made through their website. I bought the Masterforce 72” box online after the sale unfortunately and I guess I can’t retroactively get the 11% rebate?

Anyone have success with getting the rebate for an online purchase?

Yep... when I bought my Masterforce box set and it was also on sale. But it was purchased during a 11% sale week and I had no issue getting the rebate.

I did. I tried a sale item I bought online for the adjustment just for kicks, there was an 8 dollar item I bought as well not on sale in the same order, got 80 ish cents for the adjustment so it worked fine. I believe I printed the confirmation email.

Awesome! I stopped by and picked up a rebate form. I can’t wait to get the rebate to buy the stainless top!

I'm sure it's been asked before, but if I purchase online to pickup in stock items, is the 11% rebate just like going to the store?

Basically a friend wants to buy a shower/surround/doors and then have me pick it up when I have the time in the next few days. Worst case, they can go to the store and pay for it.

I'm pretty sure they won't be doing the 11 next week, my guess is huge spring sale/flyer.

I ordered myself a Masterforce 72" today. When I get the rebate can I go to the store and order the wood or stainless top and use the rebate when it comes in?

I did get all the paperwork for the rebate and I mailed it this morning. I did make the purchase online and they emailed all of the paperwork and rebate receipt to me. I would like a top and want to use the rebate check for it. It is a special order item that I am hoping I can order at the store and pay with the rebate check. Has anyone here done that with a rebate on a special order?

You can do that no problem, as long as you have the rebate check in your hand. You have to pay for special orders at the time you place the order.

Yes. When you place the special order in store, they will give you an invoice to take up to the registers. Then you pay like any other purchase you would make at the register, so you can use your rebate check. If you want the top a little cheaper yet, place your order in store during another 11% off sale. I did that very same thing when I special ordered some doors a while back.

pretty much any purchase qualifies for 11 percent, be it in store, online, special order etc... as long as you PAY for your item/items during the 11 percent sale you get to submit a rebate.

FAQ for rebates:
https://www.menards.com/main/rebates/c-12553.htm

I guess online purchases do qualify, but the way they word it, it does seem as if they are excluded. I rarely buy on their site, as I ran into item charges for in-store pickup, so just went by their (poor) wording. Though my last conversation with a Menards employee said you can now select to pick the product yourself, but there is a chance none will be there.

On every product page:

* Rebates are provided in the form of a Menards® Merchandise Credit Check valid towards purchases at any Menards® retail store. Not valid for purchases on MENARDS.COM®. Learn More

That exclusion is to indicate that you can only use the check you get in the mail at the store. So a menards.com would generate the 11%, but you can't use the check on the website.

I came to that conclusion which is why I posted, but I'm saying the wording is poor. It should say 'Credit check not valid on pruchases on Menards.com.' They left ambiguity when starting the sentence with "not valid." What's not valid, the rebate or the check?

You mean last week's ad, before the current one? That was an 11% rebate week, and ended on Saturday before the regular ad came out out Sunday so they didn't overlap.

I guess that is where your rule doesn't apply. All 11% rebate week end on a Saturday. Following "the rule" that would mean it would always be followed by another 11% rebate. So while maybe if a regular ad ends on Saturday it applies, but not for 11% ads. Might give a good idea on 11% weeks, but not foolproof.

The whole point is that the 11% sale doesn't overlap a regular ad, so of course they end on Saturdays when new sales start on Sundays. The "rule" doesn't really apply to that scenario. And it's not so much a rule as a general observation that seems to hold true. But what you're saying is true, we can't tell if an 11% sale will be extended another week.

Crazy Day Sale this weekend.
The FAR 10" circular saw blades are a definite grab.
FAR: spackle, carving sets, deck wash, house cleaner, utility baskets, kitchen towels, and blacktop filler.
If ya got a dog (or a smelly Mother In Law), flashing dog tags and flea/tick medicine is free too.
