I've talked about this before and is a plus for Menards rebates. If a rebate was in the form of a regular check or Visa card, then you would get taxed using it.

I will look for and post a receipt of said transactions.

Here are two, one with the full balance paid and the other is a partial paid with rebate.

Thanks for that. I'll make sure I don't squander my rebate checks on Voortman cookies anymore (or any other non-taxed item). I might even buy more food when on rebate.

Yup, I noticed that as well when I only bought 1 item that was under my rebate check amount. $39.99 shelf was $39.99 out the door when I used my $50 rebate check... still have $10.01 on it, so no tax on the rebate portion. That was in Kansas.

Makes those Makita bits even better that I bought... Free after rebate, and I used rebate checks to buy them, so my final cost was 1 postage stamp :)

Menards has their 100pack 1.5 inch or 50pack 2 inch NIBCO PVC 90's, straights, etc on sale. In some cases $15 off the case - I think for the 90" 1.5. Last day for the sale.

A can of mushrooms, some frozen peppers and onions and some seasoning of choice and you got a good $3 pizza. I recommend Tone's rosemary and garlic from Sam's.

Online for my store shows 28.99

At HF it can be had for 19.99 after coupon. Different part number. Reviews are good. Some say battery lasts for 1.5 hours

These are rated at over 2900 lumens so those don't look very bright.

Not at all true. 2900 Lumen fluorescent bulbs and 1800 lumen led's are very comparable in most situations. In recessed troffers the LED will be much brighter. In a strip fixture they are probably neck and neck, maybe slight edge to the LED depending on height. The beam spread of 360 degrees (fluorescent) vs 120 degrees-ish (depending on the LED tube) is the main reason.

1garageman- if you already have fluorescent fixtures, and need them to be brighter, I would to a ballast bypass conversion, and grab some 2100 or 2200 lumen LED tubes. In the lighting and electrical section there's tons of threads on the subject..

There is a reason that most replacement T8 bulbs are made to be around 1800 lumens and not 2900...I've replaced several hundred.

Then go to Lowes or HD where they don't give anything. :lol_hitti

I agree, I like the 11% but I also like a good sale on specific items.

Or go during the 11% weeks to HD with a military buddy. Get 10% off instant, and 11% back in ~2 weeks on a gift card.

I still go to Menards, but when they wanted to charge extra for me to order online in this day & age, my spending definitely decreased. I do like their multi-tool blade selection & when they have special edition Voortman cookies on sale :)
