I just bought one for my dad. It's a nice box but personally I own the Harbor frieght 41" set and love it. The one thing I do like better about the Menards are the grip latches> The HF box has rubber detents that dont' work the best when cold.

Nice. I would have got the bottom roller, but I needed a truck! I just think it is awesome looking, plus the limited edition makes it better :)

I put a very similar sized box (even has same angled corners) in back of my cherokee. Can't fit a top and bottom though. I had started to load it myself and a stranger helped push it inside.

I used some dolley carts to wheel it over to an awaiting fork lift to unload it, but it might be better to just remove all the drawers, put the wheels on it, and move it empty, and then reassemble.

It's a nice box, it's been out for a while and has been at that price already this year prior to BF.

I am not personally a fan of the rounded corners.

I bought the 16-drawer (8/8) from HF on Tuesday, really like the quality/etc. for the price point, but the top box could use a bit of depth to some of the drawers.

The box looks "stylish" but the big green Masterforce box line seems better built. Then again, I went with a 5 foot long Mac roller, so overkill is a good thing.

I saw those in the store awhile back and they seemed to be more cheaply made then the older style. Metal seemed thinner and not as well made. I did like the slide lock vs the detents but.would still buy the older style myself.

I refuse to even consider ANY product that involves a mail in rebate.

Give me an honest price up front...

The Menards rebates are pretty good in the sense that you will actually get them. The downside is they are only good at Menards (basicly store credit) which is ok, if you shop regularly there.

In general mail in rebates are a ripoff IMO, especially when they are from Ace hardware .

I knew I should've taken a picture of the box on Black Friday for all to see as I figured this would come up. Clearly said Made in China.

I picked up this toolbox today from Menards. I paid $598, pre-tax. I wish I had known about the $500 Black Friday sale! I'm very happy with the purchase, but would be happier had I spent $100 less!

I was looking at spending ~$2k on a Snap On or Mac tool chest, but after seeing this combo for $600, I was sold.

Nice box! Post some better photos as you fill it. Someone on here had posted that their Menards had them on clearance for something like $350, but I checked my store this week and it was the same price you paid. I have always liked the Menards Masterforce boxes. I have been eyeing the standard green 36" box too.

Hey don't know if you've gotten far enough yet, but will the top of this fit a full set of socket organizers? :)

I would also like to see photos of it full of tools when you start putting them in.

I have just acquired the 41''. Strong construction, I like that most of the drawers are shallow. Still moving in, and re arranging. Only thing is I wish it was a different color.

The green boxes seem to be built a good bit heavier. I know for a fact that the paint is a lot more scratch resistant - there is one of the black and green limited edition ones at my semi-local Menards, and it's scratched all to hell. Nice design aesthetically, but the green ones seem to be built way better.
