Has anyone on here mounted a side locker on a tool cabinet smaller than the recommended 41"? I called the 800 number and surprisingly got ahold of someone immediately who told me not to mate it up with my 36" base cabinet.

I was thinking it may be fine because I do have a 16" side cabinet attached to the other side. Also, my tools mostly stay in the same corner of the garage 95% of the time.

I would say that would be fine on a 36" if loaded with sense and hardly ever moved.
Could be a tipping issue without the other side drawer cabinet and lot of moving about.
With other drawer side hang cabinet you effectively turned it into a 52" base cabinet.
Just go for it but use and load it with some extra consideration .

That's what I figure. I'd have to have a ton in the locker to tip to that side.

On a side note, if anyone is on the fence about the Masterforce boxes I'd go for it. IMO they are sturdier than harbor freight and the drawer action is nicer than Husky. Of course you do pay a premium for it tho.

^ yeh they good boxes and only little more cost, offer prices are pretty good deal for above average quality.
Drawer latching and finish is leap above HF or husky.
Only downside is cabinet depth not that great but that only negative with them really .
