Only $7, made in the USA by Pratt-Read and very good quality. I have two sets, the Masterforce version and the Pratt-Read branded version. The PR ones are sold on Amazon for more money.

They're not with the screwdrivers in my local store, which is where I thought they'd be. They're with the measuring tools, which are one aisle over in my store.
If memory serves, they're with things like angel gauges, scribes and that kind of stuff.
Going to Menard's is one of the true joys of living in the Midwest. There is absolutely no reason to go to a Sears, Harbor Freight. Home Depot, or Lowes if a Menards is anywhere close. Superb pricing and quality items, especially tools.
You really need to check their weekly ad. That is where some good deals could be hiding.
Note that their pricing can be tricky. They keep some things cheap but others are more expensive than HD. I could make a long list of things I got at Menard's at prices lower than Home Depot. However, I could make just as long of a list of things where their prices were higher than Home Depot. Menard's does a great job bringing attention to products that are low price so they create a low price perception that is not always true. They also have odd assortment gaps.

I'm amazed at the "destination" menards has become, I've grown up shopping there, probably a good 20 years or so. I live by a menards, work by another, and in under 30 minutes could drive to 3 others.
I can't think of any must haves, since everything they carry I have easy access too. Check out the clearance racks, the good tool one is usually by building supply. Round here I have seen mig wire for cheap. You might still be able to score some open stock gearwrench on clearance, looks like the store you went to has the new hand tool plano.

I noticed a made in USA long reach screw driver set 8 piece I think, $6.00 in the clearance stuff. I may go get a set tomorrow.

Where are these guys located? When I lived in Pennsylvania we didn't have them, when I lived in Texas we didn't have them and now in Arizona I've never seen any. Are they Midwestern? The reason I ask is that they are suppose to sell Midwest snips which is my preferred brand of aviation shears.

Menards is nice and I love the store, but quite honestly I do not find their tool selection all that special. Masterforce stuff is not that great, Crescent, Gearwrench, meh. Performax and Tool Shop are identical to HF tools same factories even. Sears offers a better selection of American made products, Wrenches are the only thing Menards has US made that Sears doesn't and all the US made stuff that Sears has, which is a ton. Screwdrivers are the only crossover between the two. There is a lot that Menards just doesn't have or has only bottom of the barrel **** stuff. The tool boxes are quite nice, power tools are your normal assortment plus the exact same tools from HF. The real joy of Menards is the absolute variety outside of the tool section.

There's a Menard's, a Lowe's and a Home Depot all within about 3 miles from my house. I find them to be all pretty much the same. Menard's is the closest so that's usually where I go. Looking for Dewalt or Milwaukee power tools? Not at Menards. Bosch is about the best you'll find. They carry a lot more junk than the others. I needed a few 1/4-20 X 1/2 hex bolts for my mom's snow blower. Sorry, we don't carry them. I once went in Home Depot looking for some treated 4X4's and couldn't find them so I asked. Sorry we don't carry them in this store. It was one of their smaller stores. I asked the associate if they were a lumber yard and was told they are a home center.

you guys just are not happy if it isn't tool truck. "Craftsman is china garbage" "Masterforce is USA garbage" "may as well buy Harbor Freight"
Get this through your heads CRAFTSMAN will never again be your daddy's/Granddads tools from back in the day. No matter how many of us cry and complain Sears will fail (not that I want them to) Craftsman will be sold off and will continue to be produced overseas and that is just the way the world works. 100 years ago Catalog sales from Sears changed most everyone's way of life and the way business functioned now Amazon and the internet have done in Sears. If USA made Masterforce is lesser quality and more expensive than Import stuff (including Europe) then maybe USA made shouldn't be the first choice when making a purchase, it is possible that USA isn't #1 in much more than the number of people in prison and most of you aren't much more than Bullies telling everyone that they are lesser men for buying what YOU THINK is junk.
I have never seen a Snap-On tool box full of tools fix anything it was the human being man or woman with the tool in hand doing the repair so maybe what is happening is greater men and women are doing the same work with lesser tools and you TOOL TRUCK guys just cant stand it.

the USA Masterforce non driver items are made by Apex. same factory that used to stamp crapsman on tools.
masterforce USA drivers are pratt reed/ ideal.

I am just saying that BOTH are US made, not the same. I have a set of each and honestly I much prefer my Craftsmans but I have some ball head hex Masterforce drivers I like a lot. Beyond that Craftsman's Drivers are Western Forge which is also owned by... Ideal.
Almost everything Craftsman Hand Tool wise is US made except end wrenchs, Rats, and Sockets. The only US made Masterforce Stuff is End Wrenches, Rats, Sockets and Screwdrivers.

both menards that are local to me seem to a have a better selection of open stock gearwrench than anyplace else i've seen.
noticed last weekend that all the open stock masterforce stuff was on clearance.
i actually went there looking for a hat or 2
finally found them near the plumbing supplies
RW knit hats, $1.49
i restrained myself and only bought 1
actually i was wasting time waiting for the pawn shop to open...

There tool box is awesome, masterforce, I like picking up the sockets and bitsto put in implements, nut drivers are good, screw drivers are ok, and they usually have some good sales on gw stuff.

If you are into rekeying your own doors with single operator keys for less than 10 dollars you can pick up a pinning kit with related tools. Nice kits I keep 2 in my truck supplies all the time. I had Lowes and Menards right next door to each other 90% of the time I picked Menards better selection of fasteners and hardware. Plumbing I always picked Lowes.
