was wandering the store last night and happened to notice these in the plier aisle. only saw cobras so far so maybe they're just testing the waters :dunno:

I posted about this last week as my local menards had the same pliers and also had a different pair in the electrical section.

Probably a loss-leader. Get 'em while they're hot (or cheap). I have the 10" cobras and they're good pliers. I just used them Fri night to pull a broken plastic sensor I could barely reach. They held on tight with only a little squeeze on the handles.

I don't think they'll do well sitting there next to those Irwins at a third of the price.

Hopefully they'll end up in the clearance like at Lowes.

Until you actually try use the "Groove Lock" junk. They are on version 2.0 of those now.

Obviously price is more than clearance price at Lowes. But instead we should all be happy that a major US retailer who also happens to carry many US made hand tools is now offering another great line of tools instead of clearancing and removing them like Lowes.
