Long story short, my order got messed up at Menards and I didnt get the Jchannel in the right color for my Pro Rib metal ceiling install so it was mounted to the trusses without them. A few buddies helped me install it but now i am scratching my head on how to mount plywood or or OSB down the road with out having to router each piece that touches the ceiling panels as they have the contours. And suggestions that require minimal skill

Put a 90 degree bent piece of trim up against the pro rib to give yourself a square end. They are something like two or three inches on a side. After the osb os up, finish it with a 1x2 or just another 90 degree piece of trim.

Unless you have six foot ceilings, only a steel hanger will spot that something was missed.

how i am picturing what you are advising, is to basically have a reveresed kind of Jchannel where it sits behind the new osb walls and creates the square look of the "correct" way of installing the ceiling?

you can d what he said above, if you have enough room at the end of the sheets you can slip the trim in there to make an L.
Otherwise just nail the 90 degree trim underneath the pro rib and overlap the osb onto it (upside down L)

I had the same problem with my install. I just pulled the screws on the metal at the wall edge and slid J channel up behind then screwed back down. Wasn't that bad.
