Since I have heard so much about the permatex engine assy lube for ratchets I went ahead and bought a bottle but I have not had the chance to try it out yet!! I will report back

My F80 dry is smoother than that lubed up 936!!

Brake cleaner won't cut white lithium; you gotta use hot soap and water. Gotta sink sprayer?

Merkava has more influence then he probably thinks (on the lurkers at least) - I'm going to give my Craftsman 3/8" teardrop one more shot with the Permatex I picked up this week at Advance Auto (actually it's weird, I was just going to do it and then saw this thread ). If that doesn't satisfy me, its time for the F80 you guys worship!!

Heck, I'm just going to take my Altoids can over to Sears and ask them to give me a dollop or two of their ratchet lube for free. If they don't comply, well, I can make a big public fuss. Problem solved.

My receipt says I paid 4.24 + tax for it. I was there anyways to pick up some valve cover grommets to adapt my old PCV valve and air breather to the new VCs.
