My birthday was yesterday and my wife wanted to get me a new tool box as a combo gift. I was looking at a Craftsman 41" as I didn't want to trade in my truck for a SO. I look on Sears' website today and see they have a sale on the 52" combo for $999 as seen here: http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_009H0029000B?adCell=W8. After I get the approval I get on the website to buy. The website states online only so I start sifting through the pages to buy. I get stumped halfway through as I was going to get a Sears card with no interest for six months so I don't have to pay for it all now. I get through the application and am greeting with a page that states it will take up to thirty days for my application to go through. I immediately call to cancel and then call the small Sears store here in town as I know it will take less than five minutes to get approved. I call them and they inform me the same so on my way to the Sears I go. Once I get there, the manager (the only one working other than a younger boy which I think is his son) helps me out. He informs me that he can sell it to me at the price shown online plus I can save 10% for getting the rewards card
. It will be a week before it gets to the store but I can gladly wait comparing the price I saved. I know it's not the best out there and some are SO only people but for my budget and projects it is great for me.
Cliff Notes:
Sears has sale on 52" tool box for $999
Local store honors price plus 10% off
I pay $950 out the door
I save over half
