Does anyone know of a US distributor for Merry tools manufactured in Japan? I found that they offer a chain drive wrench similiar to the Blue Point JWF2 and JWT1 that are almost impossible to find. I have attached a link to a vendor in Japan that is willing to ship to the US. It shows the specs for the wrenches in case anyone is interested. I would rather deal with someone here in the states if possible.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Eric

You could try Level Chrome, I don't know if they sell that item, but they do sell Merry stuff.
I have not had money to purchase anything from them as of yet, but I am interested in some pliers Merry makes.

Check out the Tools of Japan thread and maybe there will be more buying options in there.

This is more likely what you need:

Well made even if Chinese and the importer is great to deal with.

RetDac, do you have any experience with the tite-reach wrench? Has anyone on the forum had good experiences with it? I looked at them but found it hard to believe that they are good for 400 ft lbs of impact torque.

I highly doubt that extension will survive high bolt breakaway torque and shock but it should not need to. If you can get that tool in there you can get a breaker bar, or at least a beat-on box wrench, in to do its job first. Then I would use whatever motor is handy to spin the Tite-reach and finish the unscrewing.

I have a couple of American ones...I think 2 of the same tool labeled Blue Point and Snap-on respectively.
When did those get discontinued?
