Popped a hydraulic line on my swather this morning, so ventured into town to get a new one made. Guys were backed up at parts store, so ended up with an hour to kill.
Stopped into the only pawnshop in town for a look around.
Lo and behold, under a jumble of power tools, was a like new Metabo electric nibbler, with a $20 price tag! Carried this and a very nice Bosch jigsaw out the door for $40!
Been wanting a nice nibbler for a long time, but good nibblers are pricey, and I don't need one enough to justify the price.
Don't have a lot of use for the jigsaw, but didn't want to pass up a chance to upgrade from a crappy B&D at that price!

That was a "you ****" score.

Those Bosch jigsaws are very good but not that uncommon. $20 is a good price.

A new die for a Metabo nibbler is usually three times the cost you paid for the entire nibbler.

Major suckage here! I got a Fein nibbler from a pawn shop for the same price (no better than yours). They just don't know what these things are.

Yep! I got a story of "that things been here a long time" when I laid it on the counter!
Nobody knew what it was.
I didn't bother to enlighten anyone until after I paid for it.

Judging from the Metabo badge and plastic housing, that thing is from around 2000, so it might be pretty beat up.

Pic really brought out how dirty it is. The plastic case doesn't have a single scratch. Tried it out this afternoon, on some 16ga.
Ran smooth and quiet, and cut like butter.

Man I got to start checking pawn shops, 20 bucks for anything that says Metabo on it is a steal, that's a tool you keep for ever.

Best jigsaws i've ever used were Bosch. The same goes for their sanders. Biggest piece of **** is my Makita jigsaw. In contrast, my Makita magnesium hypoid saw with a proper Freud Diablo blade is an absolute beast.
