Believe it or not guys, but we do like pictures around here.

I'll be posting pics of my new grinders next week. Bought the $102 unit yesterday, but the threat of the sale ending made me buy another one, so I picked up the WEV15-125-HT a few minutes ago.

This forum is testing my resolve!!!

I went for the WEV15-125 HT as well. Was tempted to place another order for the $102 one but they're out of stock and I'm not sure I need to triple my grinder count in one night.

The HT designation on the WEV15-125 I take it is for High Torque, I noticed on the Metabo site it's got a lower max RPM (9600 vs 10500) but a higher torque output due to a different gear ratio. The INOX model looks to have an even higher ratio. For some reason the HT is cheaper on other sites as well. I don't think the max RPMs will make a difference for my use.

It seemed odd to me that it took so long to claim it was backordered and I really thought I got in before they ran out... I asked how long they thought it would be before they got more stock in and didn't get a response.

Firworks, like Monolith said, I received a notice that it would take 10-14 days for the manufacturer to ship to them.

I received mine. I wasn't thrilled with how it was packed (just some paper wrapped around the Metabo box), and the tool ended up with a small dent. Not really that big of a deal and I am sure I will beat it up some in the coming months, but I wouldn't be too confident buying anything fragile from them.

USPS says they delivered it, and it must have been stolen. I contacted toolsplus it doesn't sound like they are going to offer a replacement, and it's looking like I'm going to be out the $100

That's about my biggest fear because my neighbors are the type of people to do that. Hasn't happened yet though. <knock on wood>

I received mine Monday and it was wrap in white paper and clear taped. You can see through the Metabo logo. Box got dents but grinder is fine.

FWIW, mine was "wrapped" with the white see thru paper also. The box looked like it went thru a paper shredder. No damage to the grinder.
Good luck with them, I'm sure they will serve you well.

Got mine mid May. I've used it a couple of times now and you can really tell how well it's made compared to the cheaper alternatives. I still haven't had a full 8 hour grinding session with it yet though so I'm "looking" forward to put it though its paces.

You could call your credit card company and get refunded

You could see how they ship USPS, I ship some USPS and all my shipments include 50.00 of insurance for free and I can buy more if needed

I would call them and tell them to reship or refund, if they say no then just call your credit card and file a claim. It is a slam dunk you will get your money back

Credit card companies always side with the paying customer. I quit shipping unless I ship it a way it has to be signed for and I still got screwed by a charge back. The customer signed for it at his address on the package, then called and claimed he never got it, I had UPS documents showing his signature and he signed am affidavit saying it wasn't him. Case closed I lost. Unfortunately you can get a charge back to go through basically anytime on anything. One day I will drive to these peoples houses and confront them.

I have heard nothing, but the paypal amount was withdrawn from my account the day after I ordered. Was hoping that meant it wouldn't be too long.

USPS stated that since they delivered it their insurance ($100) would not cover it.

I didn't want to, but I ended up having to do a charge back through my bank. Tools Plus was completely unhelpful in this process.

A lot of credit cards have insurance policies to cover theft/damage/etc in the first 90 days of purchase. Probably nicer of you to make a claim on that policy than to **** over Tools-Plus.

I did order a BACKORDER as they are out of stock, but I'm in no hurry. Besides, I'll forget about it and then one day it will be a nice surprise. lol

It also seems strange to me that they charged my card July 21st, after telling me the item was backordered. If it was going to be this long of a delay that doesn't seem right to me.

As I suspected, the first Metabo shipment that they received was only a partial. I was told that they received another shipment on Friday and remaining orders should be shipping this week.

I have a few German power tools and a few not. You can definitely tell the difference simply through feel, and additionally through sound. This thing feels and sounds solid. Stupidly, I didn't get any discs in preparation for it, so actual function will have to wait.

That's definitely just one wheel. It says 1.6oz weight. However, down below it does say: Includes (25) 4-1/2-in A46-U Type 27 Combinator Wheels - 616500420

So... I'm not sure. I'm strongly considering giving it a try. All I've got right now are garbage HF disks so some nice ones would be good to go with the nice new grinder.

Hope you chose one day shipping so we can all see what you actually get before that possible deal disappears! I checked around for other prices and that item seems to go for 10 times the amount. My Metabo says to only use genuine Metabo accessories (of course ), but how do those HF discs (cutters, brushes, anything that'll fit the Metabo) hold up?
