Metal box attachment points called?

I need to try and mount a couple of metal boxes inside of power equipment. On at least one of these, I have small hex bolts that have threads on each side. The long side goes thru the metal of the machine, and into the box itself. The hex stud helps hold this together. Then there is a small hex nut, threaded thruout. This goes on the end with a bit of thread, and is deep enough to accept the switch screws in the other end.

Anyone seen these, and know what they are called? Sorry, pics loaded last to first.

Those are PC parts

4-40 threaded standoffs and nuts.
the male-male doesn't seem to be common
try a combo of male-female and nuts,
f-m (device plate) f-m (chassis) nut

just an example, they'll be cheaper in larger quantities and on ebay

Hex standoff seems like the right name, but no way these are 4-40. They take standard sized outlet screws 8-32, and the extra f-f hex is so the switch can be added, then the cover. Given these machines all predate most computers (1970s and earlier), seems like the idea has been co-opted.

Looks like the male/male are about 3-4$ each at McMC, and then the female ends as well. At least I know what to look for. Will try ebay and others
