A quick simple fabricated tubing straightener. I buy the line in coiled rolls and it needs to be straightened before use. This design is a proven one that people have been making for a long time. It took me all of about 30 minutes to knock it together out of a couple of pieces of angle iron, some plate, and patio door guide wheels/pulleys.

I added the bottom plate so I could mount it in a vise for easier use. You can buy these for $99-200 online, but 30 minutes and $20 of bits was more fun.

For more accuracy, you can keep adding more wheels. Five was a good number for me.

I built one very similar back when I was into RC cars, sold it to some guy on one of the RC sites for $100, always meant to build another one.

Nice job Dan! Certainly a lot simpler then the one I built...

I use a lot of bigger NiCop lines though. 3/8th's and 1/2" and this on will do those with the bigger rollers.
