I ordered a metal building from a local dealer. When i refer to a metal building im talking about the enclosed car port style buildings. Use 2x2 railing for base and post and truss and wrap in metal roof and metal siding.
My question is about the drip edge.
Dealer told me they dont have a base drip edge instaled but i can get a gasket type material under the rail. Dealer also told me to call manfacture and i didnt get a hold of anybody yesterday but will try again today.
Can i install a base drip edge after install taking the bottom screws out of the siding. Then slipping in drip edge notching for post.
Much easier to install before siding is up.
My slab will be elevated about 3" above grade. Plan is to have slab be exact fit so that siding can slide over where base rail and concrete meet.
I got to thinking if they recommend you build slab bigger than building than siding best case siding would just be mounted flush bottom of rail or slighlty above where rail meets concrete.
Trying to think ahead.
My concrete guy has not started yet but could start really soon.
