Metal Cabinets

I'm trying to decide what metal cabinets to buy for my garage. I'm either getting two 48" wide cabinets or three 36". I'm probably going with around 18" deep. What would you all recommend? I need to stay under budget but I want decent quality. I was looking at the huskys from Home Depot, but it looks like they are usually dented upon delivery. I know this has probably been asked, but I can't seem to find anything. Thank guys!

Hey Dave, Give my build thread a read in the link posted below... there are ton's of different metal cabinet companies but it all depends on what your needs are. Personally I went with NewAge Products after checking out plenty of threads on here and reading many more reviews and couldn't be happier with my purchase!.

If you have any questions feel free to reply here so other's can share their 2 cents worth or PM me.

I have one of the craftsman cabinets and plan on adding 2 more. Others on the forum have the same cabinet, mostly in the red/black configuration, and seem to have good things to say about them.

For a ready to assemble cabinet the build quality is as good as I could hope for. I did have one damaged panel, but I was able to flatten it back out. It routinely goes on sale for around $200 too, and I feel like that is a good value. It also matches my Craftsman workbench.

If budget is a problem, you might want to check craigslist for used office cabinets. Save you money for projects. Then you can buy tools to do the project and you'll need more storage.
That's my life in a nutshell.

I just bought 3 good sized lockers at the Surplus Auction at the local Junior College. $10 each. They have a sale yearly. I've bought tables and stools a few times over the years. All dirt cheap.

If CL isn't your cup of tea, and you like lateral files and cube overheads then try office furniture refurbishers. They usually sell unrefurbished at about 90% off.
