Adding a drop ceiling to my shop using corrugated metal and am needing insulation and vapor barrier recommendation.

I have quite a bit of R-19 fiberglass batts that's backed with paper. Also toying with the idea of having cellulose blown in on top to add to it. Or just have the cellulose blown in at about an R-30.

I've read where you want to put up plastic before the ceiling tin but read also where manufacturers are saying not to have a vapor barrier when using cellulose.

What about my paper backed fiberglass with cellulose over the top?

I had an all aluminum building - car wash that I bought and moved. I used foil backed insulation and peel and stick pins & clips to mount the insulation to the aluminum panels. I never had a problem and this was in the Chicago area. I hope this helps.
