Did you do it by yourself? How long of pieces did you use? I will be doing this shortly and will be all alone

Yes I put it up myself. It is a 30x40x14. Did it in 3 rows at about 13' a row.

Good to know, thanks! Hope mine looks as nice as yours does. I'll be doing 13.5' panels and I'm glad to see it's possible by myself.

I made a simple rack for my drywall lift to hold it up against the ceiling joists. Worked great. Was able to put up 21' panels by myself.
I think that there's a pic of it in my build thread.

I am having a 28 by 40 pole building garage built in March. My interior walls and ceiling will be lined with the bright white metal panels.

SteveMorgan, I did the same as Dragfluid , used a drywall lift, 16' sections. You can see the contraption in my build in my sig.

Nice job OP.

I'm gonna go metal in my shop, but maybe I'll do it in the wife's attached garage, too. Sure beats sanding and painting the drywall. I **** at drywall mudding; doubly for ceilings.

I got mine from a place called Metal Building Supply located near Spartanburg, SC. The panels I got were called "Liner Panels", intended for interior use only. They only came in white, and were probably a thinner gauge metal than exterior grade, but were much less expensive and could be ordered in any length up to 20' I think. Mine have been up for more than 20 years now and still look great. Chip.

I did metal ceiling too. Interior panel. Around here, it is same gauge as exterior, it just does not have the UV resistant paint.
I had 4" of open cell foam sprayed in on top of that to seal all air leaks. If necessary, I can blow some glass insulation on top of that.
The metal is pretty quick. Looks great! Don't break your back like drywall. No taping, sanding, painting.

I'm planning to do the same, got 20ft panels from local hardware, Ideal metal is the mfg.

Looks great by the way.

Is there a spacer between the trusses and the liner , or is it a camera angle ?

Looks great. I'm ordering metal this week for my 30x40 and was thinking of splitting it in 2 (roughly 20' panels). Would you recommend chopping down to the 13' for easier handling?

I'll have to check on those; I'm fairly close to Spartanburg. I see 29 ga. on craigslist for about $.50 square foot.

I think I could of handled 20's but would want a drywall lift to do it. Not with the set up I used. Keep in mind that everything has to come down or be cut around. I did go 4' oc. with the screws even though the rafters were 2' oc. There will be no sag. Also I predrilled the panels. Here is the company I bought the metal from. http://midmichiganmetalsales.com/

Ceiling looks great Glider! One day I'll get motivated to do mine, I'm not too excited about cutting around all my outlets and my garage door brackets.

Like most, I used a drywall lift with a 2x4 frame on top of it. I have 11'6 ceiling, and I was a couple inches short. It works great. I used a laser line deal so screws were in a line.
I just screwed directly to bottom of trusses. They weren't perfectly even at all the bottoms, but you don't see it at all.

OH**** If you are going to heat/ cool, at a minimum, I would use that 1/4" foam insulation they use underneath siding. That would act as a vapor barrier, and you could always blow in insulation on top of that. The big deal is air movement. It's pretty damn cheap, and way better than nothing.
