I have a 24x17 Metal Carport (Garage)

My question is, how much weight can the walls handle? i would like to put up shelving attached to the walls.

Ive attached 2 pics so you can see the inside, I have wired the whole garage, put up insulation and 1/2 osb on the walls.

But how much weight can the walls hold?

Depending on what goes on the shelves the OSB itself might be enough support, assuming it's in contact with the ground. Do you know who the manufacturer was? They could provide actual load ratings for the frame.

It’s a typical 2 1/4” tube steel building with frames on four or five foot centers. Measure the screws on the outside. What you haven’t told us is the thickness and the fastening of the OSB. I have a pretty good idea what the answer is. Some lightweight hanging should be fine but shelves should be free standing.

I have nothing to go off of but what a couple of manufacturers and installers have told me while researching these structures. I was told the legs were only designed to handle the weight of the structure and nothing more. A couple different companies told me that installing anything on those walls would void any warranty on the structure. You may need to look in to your manufacturer's info.

What will they actually hold? That might be a completely different story.
