Metal Lathe?

Hey all,

I am looking to pick up my first lathe and ran across a used Jet BD-920W with a stand for $700.

Any negatives with this lathe?

Should I wait and look for a larger old American lathe?

For $700 I hope it has a decent amount of tooling for it. The machine is cheap. the tooling will nickle and dime you to death. Does it have a complete set of thread cutting gears? I paid $575 for my 13x40 a 9x20 is rather small and rather light. About 450 lbs. Also how are the gibs? do the ways still have frosting on them? Keith
