Well I got some things powder coated on my snowmobile and a few of the fits were tighter because of the added thickness of the powder coating. Anyways, I was persuading some of the pieces in place, I was using a punch or a chisel with the end ground flat and thought, man if this was plastic I wouldn't F this up my paint if I missed.

So anyways, I did a few quick little searches and didn't come up with much. I know there are plastic prybar tools, but what about punches and chisels?

I suppose this could be something I could possibly make from something else, but if it is (and I am sure it is) made already why take the time to make something that might not have the right composition in it. I suppose a thick enough piece of Plexiglas would work to make some pieces out of if there isn't anything you guys have come across.

I am all ears on products or plastics.

I definitely would not use any plexiglas that will shatter. Delrin or nylon would be your best bet, both can be purchased in round stock or flat stock. Maybe even brass would work?

I still would think brass would damage the paint. I guess I am not whacking the **** out of it, just soft light hits, maybe 2-6 inch stroke, lol, of the hammer. a 1/2 inch thick sheet of plexy wouldn't shatter in my eyes, but I would rather get some nylon I guess.

Wooden dowels. Wrap leather around the end for less slip and extra cushion.

I think Hobby Lobby or Michaels would have plastic dowels or rods.
HF also has a non marring scraper set that can be hit with a hammer. Not a chisel but close.
There is also a website actually called plasticrod.com
