They are real, but seem to have a bit of a sense of humor. There are other gag pages here and there if you look. Aside from the funnin' around (Free-Range Metals, RAQ, etc) they seem to be pretty capable of supplying a lot of different stock.

Certainly real. I've bought supplies - it is nice to be able to buy the quantities needed for small projects. The local steel supply company doesn't really want to deal with the 'little guy'.
