metal roller-advice?

i just got a big metal roller -it was used by a company that had it preset for rolling material at 1 size most of the time -what i need is some advise on what to build as adjustment levers ?? i worked at a shop that had like ratchet levers to adjust the rollers on there roller -they had flippers ? on the ratchets that made the levers reversable ?? there is a chain set-up on each end i can connect them but need some ideas on the reversable lever sor arms ? i will try & post some pics -soon !
