Hello all. I don't post much here, but get a lot of valuable info from reading the posts.
My question has to do with the install of a new metal roof in our Vermont ski house. I am looking to get a rough idea of the materials and install price for comparison purposes. The current roof is fiberglass shingles over plywood and is 20 years old, crunchy and leaking. The old shingles will be removed down to the plywood deck and a new Fabral GrandRib 3 painted steel roof will be installed over a full covering of ice and snow dam membrane. Ridge vents will be included in the install.
The roof is very basic with the original portion of the house being a standard peaked roof with no valleys or dormers. The new part of the house has a hip roof at one end. Other features include a masonry chimney at one end and a skylight at the other. The install will include a new trim kit for the skylight. The overall roof area is roughly 2,300 sq ft and the pitch is 6:12.
Is there a way to come up with a rough estimate for an install like this? I appreciate any info that you can provide? Thanks.
