metal roofing question

allright im drywalling the shop....the roof is in great structural shape but in high winds water tends to sneak under the splices and some gets by the nails......what should i do?..remove and replace complete roof? or is there a real thick membrane type coating that can be brushed on to seal it up?.....this site is great!..thank you..rich:beer:

I used a brush on silver colored roof coating/sealer on an old building with a tin roof that I have. Comes in 5 gallon buckets. Been on it for years with no problems. They also make the sealer in caulking gun tubes. You could seal any seams/nails with it first.

Yes you fixed it like I would. That stuff works great,only thing is it can be messy if you use too much.

First of all it would seem that the seams were not placed away from the prevailing winds. Second, make sure that you have the srcews with the rubber washers placed every 24" - 36" along the roof panel mountains. This where the panels overlap. If one and two are correct than you should be fine.
