So I just got a 18'x32' metal shop and wanting to insulate it. What would y'all use to insulate it? This building is the kind with the metal polls carport style.

If it were me I'd write a check for closed cell spray foam and call it a good day. It will also serve to keep the metal from condensing moisture out of humid air when the roof is cold or gets hit with a cold rain.

I agree, closed cell spray foam is the way to go. Just had my 18x26 metal garage done last week. Expensive but every nook and cranny is now well sealed.

Second the closed cell. I recently did a 50x50 metal shop with closed cell, all sides & the roof. Amazing stuff, keeps the heat out, cold out, and no moisture. Also lowers the sound level dramatically.

Now if I could just stop the slab from sweating during these cold/warm/humid weather cycles. :headscrat
