Metal siding with shingle roof

I am in the home stretch of building my 30'x27' pole building. I am exploring my siding options. I went with a dimensional black shingle on the roof with intentions of doing vinyl siding. Now I'm kind of leaning toward putting steel over the osb and housewrap that I already got on. I was thinking of doing a wainscot around the bottom if I decide on the metal. My only concern is finding a color combo that will look good with a shingle roof. Do any of you guys have metal sides with a shingle roof. Or maybe have a good color combo for black shingles. Thanks for any opinions.

I'd have to think that in a neighborhood like that, siding would fit in better than barn metal...


I'd go with your original plan.

Barring that, black goes with everything...

Make it match the house.

That said I have seen cut stone wainscot with steel above it in a local industrial park.
It looks good.
But that may be in contrast with the "tin box" neighbors.
