Metal truss pole barns

I have posted before about building a pole barn in the next few months. I have the option of either wood or metal trusses for my shop. For those who have used metal how do you guys insulate the roof? I know spray foam is an option but many people do not recommend spraying directly to the metal. What other options are out there?

Sorry...no help here as I am all wood and I insulated my ceiling and nor the roof. It might behoove you to update your profile with your location.

I used three foot insulation rolls that were spread just before the roof panels were installed. Are you using purlins? They were stapled every few feet. Worked well

I just built a Metal building addition. I used 4 foot X 6" commercial insulation with a vinyl backing. I found mine on craigslist for less than half of retail price.

Metal truss with either 2x4 or 2x6 wood purlins will be used.
